The US $1 billion projects would create 2,300 jobs for residents. Samsung Việt Nam expects to earn some US $330 million/year from exporting the factory’s products. Since 2010 the factory’s productivity would rise to 6 million units/year or the US $5 billion/year in export value, providing 10,000 jobs.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng said that the project would actively contribute to the socio-economic development of the locality and Việt Nam as well. The PM asked Samsung Việt Nam to domesticize the factory’s products as committed to the Government of Việt Nam.
