With 11 food processing factories from the north to the south of Vietnam such as Hung Yen, Ha Nam, Binh Dinh, Binh Duong, Can Tho, etc, Cargill Vietnam has become a leading company in the field of animal feed and aquaculture with high quality and large-scale production. Currently, the group has been in 70 nations with more than 150,000 employees all around the world.
In Vietnam, Cargill has become ‘a close friend’ of Vietnamese farmers because of its high-quality agricultural products and high economic efficiency. Hence, it is officially and widely trusted by many people. In the past decades, Cargill Vietnam has continuously achieved significant new achievements such as Global GAP certification, Vietnam High Quality Goods Award (voted by consumers for many consecutive years), etc.
With the motto of always accompanying farmers, customers, manufacturers, retailers and other organizations to fulfill the purpose of feeding the world in a safe, responsible and sustainable way, Cargill always works together to deliver efficiency, innovate technology, and help communities develop prosperously.
After receiving the project information, the design and construction team of BMB Steel determined that this is a highly complex project due to strict requirements from the investment owner Cargill Vietnam. The project requires quality assurance, meeting strict regulations to bring optimal efficiency to the project. Simultaneously, saving costs and construction time are also two factors that should be seriously concerned about.
Irrespective of the total area of only 529m2, the complexity is the problem that is carefully considered. The engineers at BMB Steel meticulously calculated every detail to ensure that the Cargill Ben Cat Grain Mill is aesthetic, durable and solid for years. After one month of negotiating, with the trust of Cargill Vietnam, BMB Steel signed the project contract and commenced construction in the same quarter of 2017.
To successfully manufacture a project with a high complexity like Cargill Ben Cat, BMB Steel requires a team of engineers to work at the highest productivity to come up with the most optimal and thorough designs. The factory uses the corrugated iron roof system (Clip - lok waveform with an area of 1159m2) and the high quality Lysaght corrugated iron wall system (waveform 7 waves with an area of 5055m2) to control the temperature. Concurrently, technical details such as mezzanine floors, rolling doors, gutters, and steel stairs are also combined to bring a unique architecture which is suitable when the factory is put into practice.
The process of completing the factory was a crucial issue that engineers had considered carefully. By virtue of the high complexity of the grain mill, to ensure the complete and efficient construction of the plant, the project is divided into three specific phases:
In particular, when the project was almost completed, it took more than 1 month (33 days) to complete the final structures until handing over to the investor. These 33 days of completion ensure the factory’s efficiency, solidity and labor safety when put into operation.
After nearly 7 months of operating at full capacity, the team of design engineers and erection workers at BMB Steel have coordinated smoothly to bring about a project with a high level of completion, installing components in a timely manner, and accuracy. This is considered a project which considerably saves time, effort, cost of materials and labor. Besides, the construction and installation process is always under control.
The project requires a lot of technical machinery related to food production
Currently, Cargill Ben Cat grain mill in Binh Duong has come into operation, contributing largely to the productivity and product chain of Cargill Vietnam over the years. Thereby, BMB Steel is proud to become a construction contractor for a multinational food corporation. The Cargill Ben Cat factory project is a foundation for the prosperity of Cargill and BMB Steel, promising many expectations for the next cooperation times of the two businesses in the future.
