Through United States’ Ambassador to Cambodia, and with supports of American Religious Society, Intermediate Training School for Salesian sisters under Don Bosco Monastery is established at the city center of Phnom Penh. The project has just been completed and brought into operations in an Area of 20.000m2 and main working area of 8.000m2.
The Don Bosco High School - Teuk Thla, Phnom Penh in Cambodia, is the first Intermediate school, is set up to train a hundred of Sisters each year with Vision and Mission as below.
Their VISION is a peaceful, developed Cambodia, where:
- poor youth receive a quality education,
- moral and spiritual values are upheld,
- women play active roles in the decision-making and nation-building proceeds.
Their MISSION is:
- to inspire hope,
- to nurture life and
- to promote human dignity
Through integral education of poor youth, especially girls, that they may experience God's love and be empowered to become active and honest citizens.
